The children in Reception have been learning the story of “The Little Red Hen”. They have practised very hard and are able to retell the story off by heart through following a story map and using actions to help. Throughout this half term, the children have written shopping lists for the ingredients and instructions for how to make bread. All the children have helped to make their very own bread buns by weighing the flour, adding the yeast, water and salt and then kneading it altogether. We cooked the bread and we all had a taste at story time!
