The children in Year 1 and Year 2 wrote manifestos to explain why they would be good school councillors or school buddies. The children all read their manifestos to their class mates and everyone casted their votes in the ballot boxes. The results were counted and validated during Democracy week. We have now appointed our new school councillors and school buddies for this year. There are two children from each class who are elected to be members of the school council. They have important roles such as collecting their peers views and sharing their voice at meetings with Mrs Willis. Two children from each class were elected to be school buddies on the yard at break and lunch times. They help to ensure everyone has a happy break time and are available to support children on the yard.
