Admissions
Biddick Hall Infant and Nursery School is a co-educational day school caring for pupils from 3 – 7 years. Children are eligible for a nursery place (subject to availability) the term after their third birthday.
Home visits are arranged before your child starts nursery so that information can be shared between school staff and parents.
During their time in nursery you will be provided with information and guidance on how to apply for a place in reception at a school of your choice. Please note a place in our nursery does not guarantee a place in our school and it is essential you complete the application with school admissions via the local authority.
Our Reception intake is 60 children. Biddick Hall Infant and Nursery school have two reception classes and these, together with nursery form our ‘Early Years’ provision.
At the end of the academic year in which the children are 5 years old they move into ‘Key Stage 1’. This consists of two Year 1 classes and two Year 2 classes.
During your child’s time in Year 2 you will be given the opportunity to apply for the next school of their choice. Once again this application process is dealt with by school admissions via the local authority.
