Windchimes and Windsocks

In Year One the children have planned, designed and created windchimes and windsocks. First they evaluated existing windchimes and windsocks and talked about their purpose. Then they came up with some some success criteria thinking about what makes a good windchime or windsock. The children then chose from a variety of resources available and joined the materials together. As you can see the children have created functional and appealing products that actually work. During Science week the children will use these and their senses (sight and hearing) to measure the wind in our allotment. We hope you enjoy listening to them as much as we do!
