Healthy Start Voucher Scheme – Support for Vulnerable Families
Background
Healthy Start Voucher Scheme
This is an NHS initiative which offers support to some of our most vulnerable families.
This is a scheme for pregnant women or parents who have a child under 4 years old.
The vouchers can be used to buy milk, fresh or frozen fruit and veg and formula milk.
The Voucher Scheme has been around for some time but unfortunately take up has dropped off recently.

We will be supporting anti-bullying week all week and today we kicked it off by wearing odd socks and showing how we are all unique and special. Everyone has made a fantastic effort – well done to you all. Check out some of our odd socks to support anti bullying week.
This week your child will be learning about what bullying looks like, and how to get help if they think it is happening to them. We will also be talking in Year 2 about being a ‘bystander’ and what to do if we think someone else is being bullied. In school we talk about the difference between falling out with your friends once or twice and actual bullying which we define as ‘Several times on purpose’. We will not accept bullying in our school community. Please click below for further advice on bullying, and to promote discussion with your child.

South Tyneside Local Offer now has a Facebook page. The page will be used to promote what is going on in the local area, engagement opportunities and events.
Thank you for your support following a positive case of Covid19 in your child’s class.
You will have received a pack of work today to complete with your child from Monday.
Could you please ensure that a responsible adult comes to main reception to collect a pack containing an ipad/workbook and further information on completing this workbook with your child.
These packs will be available at the main reception from 1pm.
PLEASE DO NOT ASK ANYONE TO COLLECT WHO IS SYMPTOMATIC OR BEEN ASKED TO ISOLATE.
Mrs Brayson will deliver online phonics lessons from Monday. The completed work must be returned to school when your child returns on 20th November.
Any questions please do not hesitate to contact me on 0191 4244859.
Many Thanks
Mrs A Willis
