The Big Battery Hunt

6th March 2019Gemma Newton

Last week children brought home a battery collection box as our school are taking part in the big battery recycling programme.

We are all so impressed with the effort the children have made.

This week Penny Whyte surprised us all by managing to collect a massive 1816 batteries from family, friends and local businesses. Penny has really got behind this challenge and as a school we are all very proud of her efforts. Well done Penny!

Pupils who not only follow the rules but go over and above; they do that little bit more, will be invited to have hot chocolate with the Head Teacher.

We Invited Our Parents In For Lunch

15th November 2018Gemma Newton

It was so good to see so many of you joining your children for lunch over the last couple of weeks. As a school we are working with Elizabeth Luke (School Meals Manager) to review our school menu.

We have a group of parents who have been invited to form a working party so any comments you have following your visit will be most welcome.

Please browse our gallery of photographs. It is lovely to see so many of you taking an interest in the life of the school.

Thank you to Miss Short and her catering team who accommodated the visit so successfully.

Harvest Appeal

14th November 2018Gemma Newton

Thank you to all of you who supported our harvest appeal so generously. All donations were given to support the charity Hospitality and Hope. Maureen from the charity was overwhelmed by your kindness and the attitude of our School Councillors who were able helpers when she came to collect our harvest gifts. It was a proud moment when I read her comments in our guest book…

Fantastic welcome by children and staff. A great big thank you from Hospitality and Hope for your continued support. It means the world. Amazing school and students. Well Done!

Thank you to all of you.
