On Friday 10th June we will be celebrating the Platinum Jubilee in school and nursery.
Please see the letters below (separate letters for school and nursery) which provide information about the plans for the day.
It was lovely to welcome Nursery parents into school for our Easter stay and play. We made Easter nests, cards and Bonnets as well as showing our grown ups what we like to do when we are in Nursery.
This week children have been shown a selection of books and are voting for which story they would like to hear.
A member of staff has been allocated as the ‘secret reader’ of each book. On Friday children will meet in the hall to find out who their ‘secret reader’ is. They will then be taken to the appropriate class with their secret reader to enjoy the story.
We have now had advice from our Local Authority and Public Health England which states that if your child is aged 5 – 18yrs 6mnth and identified as a close contact then they should take a daily lateral flow, every day for 7 days. If the test comes back negative they should continue to come to school. A positive lateral flow result should be followed up with a pcr test.
I would urge parents of children age 5+ in orange class to follow this advice and begin daily lateral flow testing immediately with their child.
