Thank you so much for all your donations we received on Wear Red Day last week. Together we have raised £105.00 which will go towards educating young children to be aware of and to challenge all forms of racism. A very worthy cause – WELL DONE!!
As part of our commitment to equality in our school community, we have embarked upon a Bronze Award with Equaliteach. This is a respected award that recognises all the good work our school does to promote equality and diversity. This is being lead by Mrs Dixon, but will be a collective effort with all teaching staff contributing to this achievement. This award takes a while to achieve, but will be worth the wait! Keep checking the website for further updates.

On Friday 16th October we will be supporting the Stand Up to Racism Movement by wearing red in school. All classes will be exploring age-appropriate books that deal with racism in way that young children can understand. Some of us will be listening to the following bedtime story on BBC iplayer, here is the link if you would like to watch it with your child:
Here are just some of the diverse books we will be reading:
Please try and take time to ask your child what they have been learning about during Wear Red Day. Conversations at home are so important to help embed the learning they have done in school. Thank you for your support!
UPDATE – a huge thank you to all of you who donated to help fund the further education of children around the issue of racism. Together you all raised £105.00 that is fantastic and very generous!
On Friday Hospitality and Hope came into school to collect all of the donations we received throughout the course of last week.
With the help of the children all of the food was bagged up and loaded onto the van.
We are so overwhelmed by the amount of food that was donated and can not thank you enough for your support with this. This food will benefit so many struggling families during these difficult times.
Thank you and well done!
What an amazing week we have had celebrating harvest and taking in all of your kind donations. Everyone has been so generous. Take a look at our food mountain.
Hospitality and Hope will be coming to school tomorrow to collect all of the food which I know will help so many families during these uncertain times.
There is still some time left if you would like to donate.
A huge thank you to you all. Well done!
Day 3 and we are still receiving lots of food donations from our lovely families. Hospitality and Hope will be collecting the food on Friday so there is still some time left to donate. Once again thank you for your kindness.
