We have been talking about people who help us at Nursery. Police Officer Dan came to visit us at Nursery today. He brought his patrol car and we were able to explore inside and pretended to drive and turned on the blue flashing lights. PC Dan also brought along some police uniform. We tried on different police hats and clothing.
Jamie has made a great start to our battery recycling challenge ‘The Big Battery Hunt’. He brought in a whole jar of batteries that he had collected with his Grandad. Well done Jamie!
Please keep bringing your old batteries into school.

The Nursery went on a Bear Hunt to Boldon Lodge. We went swishy swashy through the ribbons, splash splosh through the puddle and squelch squelch through the mud. We found the bear!
We enjoyed hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows around the campfire.
Our behavior strategy encourages pupils to be respectful citizens and learn skills for life. We expect children to follow our 3 school rules consistently.

We have recently introduced a new initiative ‘ Hot Chocolate Friday’.
Pupils who not only follow the rules but go over and above; they do that little bit more, will be invited to have hot chocolate with the Head Teacher.

Nursery are exploring colour throughout this week. We have begun by sorting objects by colour and finding out what happens when coloured dye is added to water. We have had great fun today using pipettes to apply colour in small quantities.
Nursery stay and play was a huge success today. It was great to see so many of our parents supporting their children and joining in with the spooky fun!
